You Ji HFB-150 / HFB-180 heavy duty floor type horizontal boring mills feature a moving column and a fixed table and are available in a variety of table configurations include a plain table, hydrostatic rotary table, pallet changer, or combinations of all three. Standard X-Y-Z-W travels for the HFB-150 are 157″ x 98″ x 31.5″ x 29.5″ (3,987 mm x 2,489 mm x 800 mm x 749 mm), and 236″ x 118″ x 43.5″ x 35.4″ (5,994 mm x 2,997 mm x 1,099 mm x 899 mm) for the HFB-180. A wide range of greater X and Y axis travels is optional. The HFB-150 is equipped with a 5.9″ (150 mm) spindle bar, and the HFB-180’s spindle bar is 7.1″ (180 mm)
The X, Y, and V axes are equipped with hydrostatic slides that support heavy cutting, precise positioning, and overall stability. The machines feature precision ground and induction hardened box ways in X, Y, and V (if equipped) axes. Rigidity and accuracy is further reinforced by machine construction of heavy Meehanite cast iron.
The machines’ 2,500 rpm spindles are 60 hp (HFB-150) and 100 hp (HFB-180). A 60-tool automatic tool changer is standard, with 80- and 120-tool capacities optional.
The HFB machines are equipped with both a W axis ram and a Z axis quill. The head assembly is made by HEADTec GmbH of Germany. Linear scales are standard in X, Y and Z axes.
